Aidan is a self-taught artist who is originally from
Co Laois, and is now based in Co Meath. He creates hand
pulled, original, Limited Edition Screenprints, mainly
of the Irish Landscape. He uses water-based screenprint
inks on Fabriano Artistico HP watercolour paper, and
would typically create between 10 and 15 layers for
each of his prints. The Limited Editions vary but usually
are between 5 and 15 prints in size for more recent work.
In his earlier years, whilst serving in the Irish Air Corps
as a pilot, he painted watercolours, and exhibited in the
Oireachtas and RHA Annual Exhibition, as well as solo
exhibitions in AIB Portlaoise, and United Nations HQ in
Tiberias, Israel.
In 2008 he decided to pursue his art on a fulltime basis,
and since then has exhibited his screenprints in RHA, RUA,
Limerick Printmakers, EIGSE Carlow, Galway Impressions 08
and 10, and Central Bank, Dublin.
More recently he has had his work accepted for Footprint
International in CCP Connecticut, BIMPE in Vancouver, and
1st Open International Print Competition in Cornwall,
International Print Center New York, Belfast Print Workshop
Gallery, Miniprint of Cadaques.
He is currently showing his landscape screenprints in Kilcock
