I studied under Donald Teskey and Patrick Graham, graduating with a Degree in Fine Art: Painting. I also completed a B.Sc. in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I integrate both in my work.
I have used art therapeutically with people who have diverse abilities, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, stroke and I currently work with older people in a care setting.
The common thread running through my painting is the human body, a form I never take for granted and the subtleties of colour in the world around us. There are often texts or messages hidden within my paintings.
I work mostly in oil, on handmade canvas stretchers that I make myself in the traditional way.
