Irish artist AndyMc, Dublin

I hail from Palmerstown, Dublin. A past pupil of Ballyfermot College completing a printmaking course and also HND in Visual Communications.

I've worked for several years now as a Graphic Designer and I feel it is very evident in the bold and colourful nature of the works I create. The artworks often depict portraits of people lost in heated moments, people looking lost and posing questions through expression. I like to keep a handle on the current climate which affects us in Ireland and the world and the odd painting may be politically motivated.

Also influenced heavily by street art, typography and graffiti stylised tags - they play a big part in my works despite the fact it may not be some text may not be legible at times.

I have now refocused after several years of plodding along through life, with the birth of my son, I aim to show him that you've got to do what you love - simply for the love of doing it!
