Irish artist Audrey Hennessy, Dublin

I am a self-taught artist. I have a realistic style and love painting everyday objects.

I paint in Oils and also sometimes work in Soft Pastel. I am fascinated and continue to be inspired by glass in its many forms – the translucency, play of light, delicacy and colour of glass bottles, marbles etc have provided lots of ideas for me and I enjoy depicting these in my work. I am an animal lover and I enjoy working on animal portraits – some of my own pets, both past and present are featured in my current gallery. The mysterious and dramatic characteristics associated with masks also interest and inspire me.

I enjoy exhibiting my work and have completed many commissions.
