Northern Ireland artist Barbara Craig, Down

Primarily an expressionist landscape artist my work in recent years has concentrated upon childhood memories; places, events, toys. This work has progressed towards a more abstracted style but I still enjoy painting my environment alfresco and also loose and lively bird paintings. The variation in my working themes keeps my style spontaneous and fresh, lively mark making and use of strong colour excites me and hopefully puts a smile on the viewers' face. I have exhibited my work throughout Ireland in group and solo shows and have also shown and sold work in the U.K. and France.
