I was born in Cork, with very little education left school at 13 to help support the family. Started work as an apprentice glazier and glass cutter, travelled around Ireland fixing and repairing leaded light and stained glass windows in churches and cathedrals, hence my love of colour and shape. I never had an art lesson so I developed my own style and techniques which is great as I do not shackle myself to any rules and ways of using paint or canvas. I worked in London for 36 years on building sites glazing and painted every spare moment I could get before I decided to give the rest of my life to art. With the support of a great wife and daughter. I work in oils, watercolour, charcoal pencils and whatever makes a mark or a line. I have had several exhibitions in London and many of my paintings are in different parts of the World.
