Bettina Norton, Kilkenny, Irish Artist

‚ÄčI am a mainly self taught artist working from my home studio here in the Thomastown area not far from Kilkenny city. I endeavour to tell a personal narrative through my artwork and I paint subjects that speak to me or grab me on an emotional level. Water in all its forms is a huge part of my work and I attempt to convey the power and continuous movement of the oceans, rivers and streams of our beautiful Irish landscape. My recent work is mainly wavescapes based on plein air studies painted on the South East coast, known as the Copper Coast and these studies inform my studio work.
