Irish artist Claire Burns, Down

Claire is an amateur Irish landscape and environment artist who fairly recently rediscovered her love for painting, having not picked up a paintbrush since leaving school over a decade ago. Her main paint medium is oil and her inspiration is sought almost exclusively from the natural environment, right here on the island of Ireland. She credits her family as her true teachers – Her Grandparents Deirdre Burns and the late 'Harry' W.H.Burns, and aunts Glynis and Alison have all made art their careers. Deirdre continues to impress with her large-scale oil works that always capture the atmosphere and drama of Irish landscapes, and it is to her that Claire credits much of her painting style. Claire's father, a keen photographer, provides many of the reference photos for her work. Three generations of the Burns family display their artwork online here
