Dutch Painter, Cora Connaughton

Cora Connaughton is a Dutch born artist working and living in the West of Ireland. My current work is based on my parents memories during the second world-war in Amsterdam. 'Dag meneer', (hello sir) is how my mother greeted me when I came back after the war. I had been a child evacuee. When I told her who I was she shouted to my father:'Willem, come quick, he's back, he went away a boy and came back a man'.
