Fiona is an Irish Artist and her studio is in North County Dublin. She studied at National College of Art and Design in Dublin and has been painting for over 20 years.
Her aim is to create artwork that is dynamic and uplifting, to evoke a sense of joy and wellbeing. She seeks to create art that cheers, rejuvenates and motivates, and to capture positivity in each piece and share this with the observer.
Her floral themes are influenced by the wild and random growth she observes in meadows and woods where she lives. She strives to capture the haphazard and unhindered movement of the grasses and flowers.
"My palette consists of vibrant colours that I apply in a loose and free style to manifest these beautiful and liberal displays of nature. I work mainly with acrylic paint that is applied thickly to achieve an textured, impasto effect".
Fiona has exhibited extensively in both galleries and at art festivals. Her work is contained in collections both nationally and internationally.
