Irish artist Ian Marks, Roscommon

I am retired living in Roscommon Ireland. In another life trained as a botanist specialising in electron microscopy cell structure and function. I Started sketching 50 years ago to pass exams in zoology and botany and have been drawing and painting on and off since then. Although colour blind folk seem to accept my work as pleasing to the eye. The work is mostly landscapes and from time to time oriental studies in traditional mode. There have been numerous exhibitions locally with small prizes and photographic work from my researches has been displayed in museums and scientific circles.
