Irish artist Joanne Campbell, Antrim

I have always had an interest in art and its therapeutic effects. After Art A level I attended the University of Ulster at Jordanstown graduating with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology and an MSc in Guidance & Counselling. Undertaking a P.G.C.E. at Stranmillis University College, I worked as a Primary School teacher, specialising in Special Educational Needs, for a few years, utilising my love of art.

Currently I am a self-employed artist, working from my home studio in Whitehead, Co. Antrim.

I love the vibrancy of acrylic paints and work mostly on canvas, wood and slate. With photography as a hobby, I enjoy landscapes and the figurative fine art painting of animals. My work has been exhibited in Belfast, Carrickfergus and Larne and has found homes in N.Ireland, America, Australia and Japan.

Original artwork, online and Worldwide (since 2000)
