Irish artist Judy Shinnick, Waterford

Judy has exhibited and taught watercolours for several years winning awards in Ireland and the Middle East.

Six years ago the lure or oil paint and turpentine and the joy of classical art found her travelling to study in Italy. Florence is the centre of an emerging renaissance of classical, realist art and Judy has invested the last 5 summers there studying the techniques and traditional methods of The Old Masters.

Ardmore is where Judy has brought these skills. She paints and exhibits her work in her lovely little studio overlooking Ardmore Bay. Handing down some of these skills is a particular passion and she holds workshops in between her commissioned portrait work.

Judy travels for several months a year with her businessman husband.
