Buy Me A Coffee

Karen Walsh, Meath, Irish Artist

My artwork attempts to make visible abandoned, mainly domestic dwellings, in the Irish landscape. Structures once filled with warmth and life are now seen wasting away and slowly being reclaimed by nature. Oil painting is primarily my medium of choice. I mostly work on canvas however I have experimented on various surfaces including that of found materials exhumed from the abandoned sites I have explored throughout Ireland.
