Irish artist Katie O'Connor, Limerick

Katie was born in Limerick, Ireland. Katie started painting during her school years, taking art as a Leaving Cert subject. Katie then went to Secretarial College. After which Katie worked in the Insurance industry for a number of years, holding many responsibilities, while enjoying art and languages at night College also. Katie enjoyed window display and continued same whenever she had extra time. Katie remained in Insurance until the birth of her first child. After thoroughly enjoying the experience and tremendous joy and pleasure in raising her 5 children, three daughters and two sons! Katie now has the time to return to her much loved hobby. She has sold many paintings both in Ireland and America to date.

Katie also loves to take photos and to write and is just now beginning to realize the full extent of her talents. Some of Katie's other studies include psychology and computers which she completed at Central College in the last number of years. Katie also loves reading, walking, gardening, music, the gym, pool/snooker, and zumba dance to name but a few!
