Irish artist Laoise Nugent-Burke, Dublin

Laoise has over 30 years experience as a Graphic Designer, Art teacher and Abstract painter. She studied fine art in NCAD, Dublin. Her art in it's many forms is colourful and vibrant. Although she naturally is drawn to Oils and teaches Oil painting, Laoise is one of Irelands first Alcohol Ink Artists. These pieces are abstract, vibrant and full of layers and texture. Laoise grew up around the Phoenix Park where her grandfather was the Lamplighter, she is strongly influenced by her childhood, the freedom of the park and its open spaces, wild life and flower gardens. She is married to a Scuba Diver which has brought her to the islands surrounding Ireland and diving sites around the world giving her another muse - The Sea.
