Irish artist Libby Thompson, Kerry

I am currently living in Co. Kerry and work from a tiny studio above a busy restaurant overlooking the sea - idyllic. Apart from school and taking part in a weekly art class over a period of 2 years whilst in South Africa, I am self taught and never tire of trying new techniques and mediums. Portraiture is my main passion and I take commissions for portraits of both animals and people. I normally work in Oil or Pastel but obviously am able to offer other mediums if required. As can be seen from my gallery I do take on other subjects and really do enjoy the challenge of trying something new. I am really excited about this opportunity to display my work and am hoping to gain a much needed wider audience for what I do.
