Irish artist Martina Hughes, Dublin

I have been painting all my life and went on to study art in 3rd level. Then life happened and my paintbrushes took a back seat for a very long time. Based in Baldoyle, I photograph things that inspire me and then paint from these images at home.

I paint in Acrylics using only primary colours and white to tint and highlight. So all colours in my paintings are mixed by me from red, yellow and blue to create the colours that I see in nature.
