Biog:
I am intrigued by the ways that light and shade can be used to create mood and
atmosphere, and reflect this on an ongoing basis in my painting. Humans can
become isolated, physically or psychologically, in a rural or urban environment,
and I have reflected this in some of my past work. Most recently I have been
concentrating on depicting landscape scenes, both local and imaginary, with an
added emphasis on the evening and night sky.
