Northern Ireland artist Stephen Jamison, Belfast

I am a mature, self taught artist from Belfast, who maintains a strong desire to develop my method and learn new techniques. My father and grandfather were both accomplished amateur artists and therefore art has always been an important part of my life.

In 2008 I made the decision to become a full time, professional artist specializing in portraits, something which I have never regretted. I paint exclusively in oils although my background was in watercolour and pen and ink work.

I paint in both alla prima and the classical style, depending on the demands of each particular painting.

My 'tag line' is affordable art for all, something which I remain totally committed to.
