Irish artist Yvonne Moran, Dublin

Yvonne Moran has been painting for about 16 years following in the footsteps of her father. Starting with the lovely fluidity of watercolour she changed to oils, which is her preferred medium but she dabbles in acrylic from time to time and is currently exploring Chinese watercolour and regularly completes courses on the finer details of art theory. Yvonne exhibits during the summer months with a couple of local art groups (Portmarnock art group, 4rtists and friends and Artworks). She paints local scenes, landscapes, some still life and has completed a number of commissions for special birthdays and gifts. Yvonne regularly travels to Malaysia and also paints in a class there with Amir Ariffin. The scenery and light is quite different and she enjoys tackling the different techniques and colours, painting in Malaysia presents. Learning something new every painting is rewarding and she hopes you enjoy her work.
