Irish artist Jason Yourell, Dublin

I am an Artist born and raised in the heart of Dublin. My father studied art in NCAD, and my mother always wrote poetry and short stories in her spare time. Artistic expression was something that was propagated in me from a very early age.

I love to capture dramatic light, colour, and trying to catch a moment in time. The inspiration for me comes from ideas that give you that quiet moment of calm. Or the ones that make the hairs on your arms stand on end. I try to take that concept and translate that into a finished piece.

I have been an art teacher, worked in TV and film, animation and design. Everything I do in my professional life stems from a place of artistic fascination and the challenge of trying to master something new.
