Irish artist Marty Garland, Dundalk and Antrim

I'm an self taught Irish artist, born and bred in Belfast, and have made my home and studio in Dundalk from where paint. I've always had an interest in art, having been self - employed for nearly 40 years creating graphics for the business world... I'm allowing myself more time these days to create my own personal pieces of art and enjoy the creative process of painting and drawing. Acrylics and watercolours are my main medium of choice, but I also like to explore other mediums, sometimes painting Plein Air if the weather suits, although I generally paint from my own photographic sources editing in Lightroom and Photoshop to create my compositions and lighting, ( I also have a strong interest in Photography, and particularly like creating digital montages) Vector Art also figures in my creative output using Affinity Designer / Photo to render these pieces.

Landscape and Figurative work is my main area of interest, but occasionally I'll paint other types of subjects for a change!
