Irish artist Ruth Brady, Dublin

I am a North County Dublin based artist and graphic designer.

Along with fine art, art history and history in general I love making things and am interested in craft of all kinds and like to dabble in sewing, needle felting and knitting when I get the opportunity.

At the moment I create portraits of people and pets in a variety of mediums including pastels, watercolour, pen and ink and pencil. Animals mean a lot to me and as you can see feature largely in my work. To that end I am the proud owner of three gorgeous but completely daft rescue dogs.

My aim is to always challenge myself and expand my artistic practice. With that in mind I am now starting to work on both landscapes and abstract compositions.

I am delighted to have a gallery on New Irish Art - it is a site that is a wonderful asset for artists such as myself.
