Launched on March 28th, 2000, New Irish Art completes its 26th year of operation this month. Built on an open access model and operated, maintained and developed independently, the project has always set artists' needs first and foremost. The project focuses on enhancing engagement and participation. It's as straightforward as that and, our performance metrics for participation and engagement have consistently demonstrated strong results.
Over this last 26 years we have gotten to know so many generous, creative people, even if only in the virtual sense, who are supportive of others who share their interest and talent. Every day has brought the excitement of new artwork and seeing that grow is the most rewarding experience. To each and every one of you, a sincere THANK YOU for trusting us to present your work to the World. You are truly inspirational!
I keep a half litre glass of filtered, cool tapwater nearby and happily swig
from that to celebrate, so here's to the next 26 years, and to being allowed show more original art
by just some of the many talented and gifted artists in our midst.
** New Irish Art is about engaging online audiences and encouraging participation in the arts.
